Job Description

Communications Division Manager

$65,062.40 - $78,603.20 Annually

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Phoenix, Arizona

Minimum education and/or experience:   
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, and a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a communications division or related field is required.

Preferred education and/or experience: 
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Emergency Communications, Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice or a related field, with at least ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in communications center management, seven (7) years of which must be supervisory or managerial within a PSAP or a closely related field. Experience with law enforcement communications procedures and equipment is also preferred.

Specialized training, certifications, or other special requirements:  
Valid Arizona driver's license, or the ability to obtain one, is required at time of hire.  Training provided on the job: FEMA NIMS – IS 100 and 700; OSHA Training; ADP Payroll Training.  Prior to hiring, the Sheriff’s Office requires that all candidates successfully pass a polygraph examination and background.
