Job Description

Communications Operator – Fire/Lateral Transfer
City of Santa Monica

Salary $ 4,470 - $ 5,519/mo. Job Summary: Receives and records emergency 911 and routine business calls and dispatches City public safety resources and/or contacts appropriate agencies.

Requires: Graduation from high school or the equivalent.  One year of recent, paid work experience as a certified emergency medical public safety dispatcher. Possession of a valid Emergency Medical Dispatch certificate from a recognized emergency dispatch program. Possession of a valid American Heart Association or national/state accredited certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Possession of a valid Class C driver license. Deadline: 5:30 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 2010.
