Communications International (Ci), has completed installation of a new dispatch system designed to improve operations and enhance 9-1-1 dispatch capabilities for first responders in Chowan County, NC.

Chowan County’s customized dispatch solution features Harris Symphony™ consoles.  The Symphony™ consoles utilize Harris’ advancedVIDA® Core technology to ensure better system redundancy and dependability. The County’s new system and enhanced infrastructure provides them with more reliable communications as well as interoperability with the North Carolina P25 Voice Interoperability Plan for Emergency Responders (VIPER) system. Additionally, it supports P25 Phase 1 and 2, enabling additional growth and flexibility well into the future.

“Chowan County is now equipped with a future-ready dispatch system that utilizes the latest technologies to effectively meet the critical communications needs of the County and its nearly 15,000 residents,” said Ci Sales and New Business Development Director Henry Erfurt. “We are honored to be chosen for this project, and to support Chowan County as they take this important step towards P25 standards.”
