eCrash Simplifies Accident Reporting at No Charge to Law Enforcement Agencies

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has reached an agreement to integrate eCrash, an electronic crash report management system, with InterAct RMS.  The combined solution is available now to all InterAct law enforcement customers.

“With law enforcement agencies continuing to face budget restraints, LexisNexis eCrash offers a solution to help them improve and automate the process of collecting and disseminating crash information,” said Roy Marler, Vice President and General Manager, Emerging Markets,  LexisNexis Risk Solutions. “These efficiencies allow officers to focus on essential services to help protect the communities they serve.”

eCrash enables law enforcement agencies to fully automate and integrate with InterAct RMS to better manage the entire accident reporting process.  This results in significant time/cost savings,  reduced errors, more effective information sharing and enhanced investigative capabilities freeing law enforcement to focus on fulfilling their mission of protecting people and their communities.

In addition to increased efficiencies, LexisNexis eCrash provides law enforcement agencies the following benefits:

  • Improves service to the public by allowing involved parties to purchase reports online, 24/7
  • Decreases walk-in and mail report requests, and eliminates the agency’s need to input accident data
  • Improves investigative strength by providing easy access to accident/crash reports and those of other participating agencies

“By integrating eCrash with InterAct’s modern cloud-based Record Management System (RMS), law enforcement agencies receive the benefits of a traffic crash reporting system that supports effective strategies to reduce traffic related accidents, injuries and fatalities,” said Todd Thompson, Vice President/GM RMS Products & Online Solutions, InterAct.  “The combined system also fosters improved communication and interoperability between public safety agencies at the local, state and federal level improving tactical awareness and officer safety.”
