Stratus Technologies

In his new role, Mr. Smith will manage the growth and operational strategy for an expanded set of market segments, including cyber security and NG9-1-1. He leads a robust team of experienced public safety professionals focused on bringing collaborative and effective solutions to the public safety industry. Mr. Smith’s efforts will continue to position L.R. Kimball as a national leader in helping 9-1-1 agencies transform their legacy 9-1-1 systems to NG9-1-1.

Mr. Smith brings nearly 15 years of network, cyber security and public safety expertise to his new role.

Prior to joining L.R. Kimball, he served as the principal network and security architect with PlantCML (an EADS company) on the New York Police Department and the Fire Department of New York projects to replace their 9-1-1 equipment. In addition, he has designed and/or implemented network and security solutions for 9-1-1 call centers across the United States. He has also served as a technical expert to help clients understand, evaluate and shepherd solutions through the U.S. Department of Defense information assurance certification process.
