Personnel will use Spillman Touch™ to retrieve records and call info on a mobile data device

Officers at the Rosenberg Police Department in Texas will gain access to records and images and have the ability to search for data, view dispatched information, and receive call assignments from the field using the new Spillman Touch application.

Officers at the Rosenberg Police Department in Texas will gain access to records and images and have the ability to search for data, view dispatched information, and receive call assignments from the field using the new Spillman Touch application.

The application enables personnel to access Spillman data on a mobile device, allowing them to view critical information and update their statuses while away from a traditional workstation.

“Spillman Touch will allow commanders as well as supervisors to have quick access to their officers’ status and information from the field,” said Rosenberg Police Department Sergeant Richard Hooper.

The Rosenberg Police will also use Spillman’s CompStat Dashboard module, enabling command staff to spot trends and make informed decisions.

“The software will help the Rosenberg Police Department meet public safety challenges that arise within the city,” Hooper said.

Rosenberg is a suburb of Houston with approximately 30,000 residents. When the Rosenberg Police Department goes live with its Spillman system in September, it will be one of 16 agencies in Texas and more than 900 agencies across the nation utilizing Spillman software.

“There’s not a crime that happens in the big city that doesn’t happen here,” Hooper said.

Hooper said that the Rosenberg Police Department selected Spillman after an extensive search for cost-effective software that would enable all divisions within the agency to utilize one integrated system.

“After our review, Spillman has shown to be the best choice for us.” he said.
