Tiburon, Inc., has announced the successful go-live and completion of a major law enforcement system upgrade project at Harris County, Texas.

The law enforcement upgrade project was grant funded with a compressed timeline and involved Tiburon's Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Law RMS, Mobile, and Field Reporting systems as well as implementing a new iyeTek Crash software application with integration to Tiburon's Law RMS. The CAD go-live started, as scheduled, on June 18th with Harris County Sheriff's Office and Constable Precincts 1-8 (a total of 9 separate communications centers) being brought online in a staggered fashion which coincided with the County's approx 3,000 vehicles installed with Tiburon Mobile data communications being transitioned the following days. The Tiburon Law RMS system upgrade began on Monday, June 17th and finished on schedule the next day and was brought online in the same staggered fashion. At end of business, June 18th, Harris County Law Enforcement announced agency-wide that the Tiburon CAD, Mobile, and Law RMS upgrade went live and was a success with Tiburon continuing to provide both remote and onsite support after the cutover.

Harris County Law Enforcement is made up of the Harris County Sheriff's Office, founded in 1837, and is the largest sheriff's office in Texas -- the third largest in the United States, and 8 Constable Precincts. The Harris County Sheriff's Office employs over 4,000 employees. The recorded County population (2012) is 4,253,700 with the City of Houston, also a Tiburon client, as the County seat.
