Arkansas' Maumelle Police Department Goes Live with TriTech Software

The Police Department of the City of Maumelle, located in Central Arkansas and a neighboring town to Little Rock, went live with their new TriTech Software System’s Imc Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management System (RMS), Mobile, Administrative and Bar Coding applications at 1900 hours on June 29, 2011. The department is anticipating huge improvements in the administrative and operational workflow with the new system, saving their staff thousands of hours over the old paper and Microsoft Access database system which had been used for managing reports and communications previously.

“When you have about 20 officers responsible for 20,000 citizens, saving time on the administration and operations side of the organization will result in big improvements on the service and safety side,” said Mike Wilson, the Professional Standards Commander at Maumelle Police Department.

Maumelle Police Department had been using a combined paper and Microsoft Access database system for managing reports and communications.  Wilson, who has been with the Maumelle Police Department for 21 years, created a 15-table database in 1998 to try and manage all their records. He started investigating CAD and RMS systems in 2004 to help manage information and workload. After researching several options, the Maumelle Police Department chose TriTech because of their solid product offerings and strong company reputation in law enforcement.

TriTech’s integrated applications will make a dramatic impact on the operational flow at Maumelle Police Department by automating several previously manual tasks, as well as improving communication, efficiency, and statistical analysis and evaluation of several key performance areas. The resulting impact of the new technology is expected to be seen not only in the internal departmental efficiencies and communication improvements, but also in the quality of service delivered to the 20,000 citizens that the 20 Maumelle officers are responsible for as they gain better information from which to evaluate and respond.

“There is simply no way we could be more pleased with the software or support staff,” said Wilson. This process for our department had become a bit of a tragedy when we entered into an agreement with another, less than scrupulous, provider who absconded with most of our operating capital. In the middle of this disaster, Tritech’s Imc Solutions stepped in and literally came to our rescue by offering Maumelle PD a complete and state-of-the-art package at a price point far superior to any other vendor we had sampled. Needless to say, our level of skepticism was at an all-time high; however, Tritech’s Imc Solutions not only delivered what they promised, but their product has proven to be better than expected. ”
