Iowa County, WI Selects VisionAIR to Enhance Service and Regional Initiatives

VisionAIR®, provider of the integrated Public Safety Suite® of software, announces its newest client, Iowa County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin. Located in Southwest Wisconsin, approximately 40 miles west of the capitol city of Madison, Iowa County covers 763 square miles.

The integrated public safety system consists of products from VisionAIR’s Public Safety Suite, including Computer-Aided Dispatch (VisionCAD™), Records Management System (VisionRMS™), Mobile Data application (VisionMOBILE™) with AVL, Inmate Management (VisionJAIL™), Web-based Data Sharing (VisionINFORM™), and Learning Management System (VisionLMS™).

Sheriff Steven Michek, said, “Within the past year, the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department found it imperative to seek out a new law enforcement software vendor for their Communications, Corrections, and Law Enforcement divisions. This was due to the current software vendor of six years running into business and financial hardships, which made ‘customer service’ very difficult between the vendor and Iowa County.” Sheriff Michek continued, “Within the past 6-8 months, Iowa County’s Information Technology Director, Justice Committee, and Sheriff’s Administration undertook a long and comprehensive process in selecting a new software vendor, for which VisionAIR was selected. Iowa County looks forward to developing a working and ‘customer friendly’ relationship with VisionAIR, and seeing how its CAD, RMS, and Mobile packages will greatly enhance our law enforcement services to the citizens of Iowa County”.

Amy Kaup, IT Director for Iowa County, added, “Regional initiatives are becoming increasingly important, and with two neighboring counties already utilizing VisionAIR and a strong WI user base, selecting VisionAIR made a lot of sense for Iowa County. Iowa County not only looked at how the software will work for us now, but also wanted to put the County in a position to allow future opportunities for collaboration outside of the County as well.

Iowa County joins a strong VisionAIR user community in the state of Wisconsin, including LaCrosse County, Grant County, Columbia County, and over 50 other public safety agencies in Wisconsin.
