Priority Dispatch Corporation Now a Member of the Industry Council
The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) has announced the addition of Priority Dispatch Corporation (PDC) to the Association’s growing membership base.
PDC is a dispatch method service provider that uses in-house research and development to deliver to the field a series of unique calltaking protocols for emergency communications centers worldwide. Using a comprehensive systems approach, PDC’s Medical Priority Dispatch System has been in use for 35 years with frequent and substantial updates, and users of the fire and police dispatching protocols have seen great success since they were introduced in the early 2000s.
“As we’ve gathered and analyzed historical data, we’ve seen that distinct calltaking protocols can reduce costs and risk for emergency communications centers,” noted PDC Senior Vice President, Ron McDaniel. “We’ve also observed that by being part of an industry body focused on emergency response technologies globally, we can more readily reach our goal of constantly improving upon our delivery of service to public safety agencies. We have joined iCERT to add our voice, perspective and experience to the mission of advancing emergency response and public safety operations.”
“A founding premise for iCERT is that industry leaders provide ongoing and critical insights for the field of public safety and emergency response technologies. Establishing, maintaining and growing relationships among key company leaders—the members of our association—where issues are discussed and advanced is a critical aspect of today’s technology and policy development setting,” noted Darrin Reilly, Industry Council Chairman and Chief Operating Officer for TriTech Software Systems. “We enthusiastically welcome Priority Dispatch Corporation to iCERT.”
“With fresh insights on the nature of prioritization and dispatch for emergency response assets and personnel, PDC is an excellent fit with the Industry Council’s ongoing mission of advancing the field of emergency response technologies,” offered George Rice, the Industry Council’s Executive Director. “We are quite pleased that they’ve joined us and we look forward to their participation in our many efforts.”
