RTT Mobile's ELSA Named Technology of the Year by the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives
RTT Mobile Interpretation is proud to announce that its hands-free, mobile interpretation device ELSA™ (Enabling Language Service Anywhere) has been recognized as the 2014 “Technology of the Year” by the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE).
The award is sponsored by the international telecommunications equipment company Harris Corporation and is presented to organizations who are strong advocates of technology that benefits law enforcement and public safety. The award was announced at NOBLE’s Annual Conference and Exhibition in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Chuck Howerton, Founder & Inventor of RTT Mobile Interpretation, said, “We are very proud to be recognized by such an important organization as NOBLE. Since the beginning, we’ve considered ELSA a perfect tool for law enforcement to enhance communication and efficiency, so it’s very exciting to see the technology embraced in such a way.”
ELSA is a mobile device used for real-time language interpretation. Distributed by RTT Mobile Interpretation, ELSA utilizes cell phone technology to connect directly with live interpreters in 180 languages, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. ELSA is now being used with great success by police departments and a wide-range of other industries around the country for low-cost, real-time communication between people who speak different languages in virtually any situation or environment.
“On behalf of the Executive Board, members, and communities it serves, NOBLE applauds and congratulates RTT Mobile,” said Dwayne A. Crawford, Executive Director of NOBLE.
