Tiburon, Inc., a portfolio company of The Gores Group and a leading provider of public safety software solutions, has announced the launch of Tiburon 9-1-1 Call Handling with seamless integration to Intrado A9-1-1® Connect™ (A9C).

Tiburon 9-1-1 Call Handling integrates functions within computer-aided dispatch and 9-1-1 call handling to help reduce call taker workflow complexity as well as reduce equipment costs and footprint in the dispatch center. With Tiburon 9-1-1 Call Handling, calls for service from several sources can be presented in a clean, common user experience on a single workstation – giving dispatchers and call takers an environment that promotes maximum focus and usability. Supported by Intrado the Intrado A9C, next generation capabilities are right at the fingertips of the telecommunicator.

“Tiburon 9-1-1 Call Handling is another innovative solution that will have significant impacts on the public safety industry as next generation 9-1-1 becomes fully adopted,” said Albert Israel, SVP, Products and International Business Development, at Tiburon. “Tiburon 9-1-1 Call Handling includes several revolutionary features, which include integrated 9-1-1 call handling on same workstation as CAD, using a common user login; Common address validation and MAP between 9-1-1 call handling and CAD; Configurable UI by user and role; Integrated call taker & supervisor telephony functions, some telephony functions available directly from CAD and MAP; Integrated TDD, SMS, MMS to 9-1-1 with all information stored within CAD; ANI/ALI display, abandoned call handling, active calls and agent monitoring; Single button agency call transfers; Integrated contact list, agents and contacts searchable by skills; Integrated call check and voice logging recorder from 9-1-1 call handling & CAD and common web based reporting for Calls and CAD.”

Stratus Technologies

Tiburon 9-1-1 Call Handling is fully integrated with Intrado A9-1-1 Connect, which represents an entirely new paradigm – a purpose-built appliance dedicated to providing public safety with exceptional call handling and convergence of voice and data in the Next Gen 9-1-1 world. The A9-1-1 Connect all-in-one appliance approach provides freedom from reliance on off-the-shelf PCs, freedom from bolted-on additions, and with no moving parts is much easier to maintain. A9-1-1 Connect delivers public safety grade reliability with minimal energy consumption and a very small footprint.

“Intrado’s partnership with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) companies has grown significantly in recent years,” said Steve Lowe, senior vice president, Intrado. “Our collaboration with Tiburon to integrate call-taking functions with CAD via the A9-1-1 Connect appliance can help public safety agencies of all sizes enhance their workflow and reduce response times.“

“Tiburon is proud to be on the leading edge of enhancing dispatcher and call-taker workflow and usability in their critical role in saving lives and protecting property,” said Cliff Micham, Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Tiburon. Next generation 9-1-1 is here, and the Tiburon-Intrado partnership is helping clients become more effective at serving their communities.”
