Emergency Technologies Deploys Multi-Department Fire Records System in San Antonio, Bexar County, and Schertz Fire Departments

Share |

Emergency Technologies, Inc. (ETI) proudly reports that that the Visual Fire system is live and operational within the city of San Antonio Fire Department, the city of Schertz Fire-Rescue, and throughout all of the Bexar County Fire Departments. ETI’s Visual Fire solution allows these city and county fire departments to have an integrated public safety information system to help streamline information sharing between city and county agencies.

In August 2008, ETI was contracted to provide a Fire Records Management System to the seventh largest U.S. city, the city of San Antonio, Texas. Phase 1 of this project was completed in November 2008, and allowed San Antonio Fire Department to report fire incident information in the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) 5.0 standard in order to maintain eligibility for USFA grant funding. Phase 2 of this project, which was known as the Alamo project, included the expansion of the Visual Fire system throughout the 23 Bexar County Fire Departments and city of Schertz Fire Departments. This regional deployment is part of a larger 14.7 million Dollar contract through the Prime Contractor, TriTech Software Systems.

Visual Fire is a public safety software application designed specifically for fire and EMS agencies. Visual Fire is an application that integrates fire incident reporting, Mobile Field Reporting, Training and certification records, Hydrant information and Structural Pre-Plans, along with several additional modules that will provide the city of San Antonio, the city of Schertz and all other Bexar County, Texas Fire Departments with modern technology to increase county–wide operational efficiency. Visual Fire will also be tightly integrated with TriTech’s Computer-Aided Dispatch system, VisiCAD and Orion's AgencyWeb.
