From the Field: Pennsauken NJ MVA Rescue 1 trapped/1 ejected

On May 17, 2014, a multiple patient vehicle accident occurred on Rte. 130 in Pennsauken, New Jersey, requiring a major response of fire and EMS resources.
Battalion 11 arrived on location with a 4 vehicle accident with an occupant trapped, one ejected, and multiple patients down. Command requested a total of 8 BLS units and 4 ALS units. Engine 1132, Engine 11-1 and Ladder 11-5 worked to free the occupant from the vehicle on its side. Crews removed a section of the roof and post to extricate the victim. Three patients were transported to the Trauma Unit. BLS from Pennsauken. Camden, Collingswood, Westmont, Cherry Hill and Cinnaminson, ALS 43,44, 45, 32 and the ALS Asst. Chief operated on scene.
