The American Heroes Air Show 2016

The American Heroes Air Show took place last Saturday (June 25) at Hansen Dam in the San Fernando Valley. This event is an opportunity for individuals in the public safety sectors (police, fire&rescue, EMS agencies, etc.) to mingle with the local community.

In addition to the displays and demonstrations, the admission-free Air Show also featured the CODE3 Career & Recruiting Expo. Of the more than thirty federal, state, regional, and local organizations that attended, many of these agencies brought recruiting teams from law enforcement, public safety, military, and homeland security in order to profile career opportunities for the public.

Helicopters, such as the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles donated by Helinet Aviation, were on display and fully equipped to give visitors the opportunity to see inside the aircraft.

In addition to the air show, the American Heroes event was the site of a naturalization ceremony. The U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services had over 50 people recite their oath to become US citizens.

The American Heroes Air Show is an annual event, with multiple locations across the nation.
