Public Safety Agencies to Participate in Interoperability Exercise in Sacramento

Twenty-four local, state and federal agencies will gather on Wednesday, May 8th, from 9 am to 4 pm in Sacramento (CA) to display their mobile communications centers, share innovations they have developed, and participate in an interoperability exercise.

In the wake of recent wildfires in California, it is clear that this will be a fire season to remember, and it is incumbent on public and private agencies to have the quick and reliable communications at the scene of fires, earthquakes, and other natural or man-made disasters.

There will be communications assets from fire departments, law enforcement agencies, the military, public utilities, and non-governmental organizations on display.  There will also be classes that will cover interoperability issues and techniques for participants and guests alike.

The location of the event will be at the Sacramento Regional Fire Training Academy located at 9320 Tech Center Drive in Sacramento (off of Mayhew Rd between Folsom Blvd and Highway 50).
