CDC: Update on Ebola information for 9-1-1 Systems
In an update to their “Ebola Guidance for 9-1-1 Systems” issued on October 3 [see our news story here], the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has published on October 24th Interim Guidance for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Systems and 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) for Management of Patients with Known or Suspected Ebola Virus Disease in the United States. It can be found at this link
Additionally, on October 24th, the Interagency Board published Recommendations on the Selection and Use of Personal Protective Equipment for First Responders Against Ebola Exposure Hazards. It can be found at this link
The DCD encourages your review of these two complementary documents. And, of course, remember that CDC has a wealth of valuable Ebola-related information (www.cdc.gov/ebola )
Thanks for all you do. As always, all of our Federal partners welcome your suggestions and comments.
