Grand Junction meeting to take place June 26th; Panelists include officials and executives from the Red Cross, Colorado's Emergency Management Office, and Agility Recovery

Colorado has experienced an unusually high number of large-scale natural and man-made disasters and emergencies over the past two years including the Aurora Theater shootings, wildfires and floods. It is vital that businesses, agencies, non-profits and other organizations prepare for the unknown.

The theme of the June CEPP Western Slope meeting is “Protecting and Sustaining Your Organization During and After a Disaster.” Expert panelists will discuss best practices and available resources to help your organization plan for, respond to and recover from a disaster or emergency.

The Colorado Emergency Preparedness Partnership, or CEPP, a non-profit organization, was created in 2008 with the mission of bringing the public and private sectors of our state together to better prepare for and respond to the many natural and, sometimes, man-made hazards our state faces.

Officials and executives from the Red Cross, the state of Colorado's Emergency Management Office, and Agility Recovery:

  • Red Cross' Ready Rating tool: Helps organizations plan for and assess preparedness capabilities.
  • Colorado's Resource Mobilization: Connect Colorado resource registry provides assets, equipment and subject matter experts to the private sector during a crisis.
  • Agility Recovery: Helps organizations recover from not only large disasters, but also smaller disruptions that occur unexpectedly and can severely degrade an organization's ability to resume normal operations.
