Survey: 82% Of Incident Control Rooms Need Better Tools

Date: 2012-08-16

It’s striking that 82% of incident command staff are not happy with the current tools they are using to document decisions, risks, leads, and taskings. Decisions [D4H] multi-award winning emergency response team management software providers have extracted some interesting information from a survey of the public & industrial emergency response markets.

In an industry that has been arguably inundated with niche products that promise innovation and to be the next big thing, is it a case that incident command rooms can’t sort the good from the bad or is it that the tools don’t meet the command staff needs closely enough.

In a survey of over 80 response organizations globally, it was determined that while 91% are computerized, only 63% of Incident Command and Emergency Operation Rooms have open internet access. Are 37% of teams missing out and being less effect due to the lack of in-depth information and tools the internet can provide in an emergency situation.

Multi-award winning Decisions [D4H] helps emergency services and industrial safety teams save more lives, keep production-lines open, and implement precise prevention campaigns by making better decisions. Decisions [D4H] is a web-based collaborative emergency response team management tool, that helps record and analyse operations. Instead of archiving information as paperwork, the software generates real-time profiles of members, available resources, and experience levels. [D4H] uses this data to deliver live and intelligent information to the field.  For more information on D4H, see:
