NCSL Provides Up-to-Date Tracking of 9-1-1 Legislation
Would you like to know what kind of 9-1-1 laws were passed during 2013? Are you interested in finding out which states have updated their 9-1-1 statutes? A resource is now available to assist State and local PSAP Managers, 9-1-1 Authorities, legislators and local and regional officials nationwide in keeping track of legislative changes affecting 9-1-1 services. An aggregate list of key 2013 enactments has been posted on the 9-1-1 Legislation Tracking Database at NCSL 9-1-1 Legislative Database.
The National 911 Program has partnered with the National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL) to create this online national database of introduced and enacted 9-1-1 legislation. The legislative database, which is searchable by state, topic, keyword, year, status or primary sponsor, is updated bi-weekly and topics include:
- 9-1-1 Administration, Plans, Boards & Commissions
- 9-1-1 Fee, Service Fee or Surcharge
- 9-1-1 Funding and Appropriations
- 9-1-1 Privacy and Confidentiality
- Enhanced 9-1-1
- Next Generation/Advanced 9-1-1
