“The Institute is honored to recognize the efforts of this year’s 9-1-1 Honor Award winners,” said NG911 Institute Chair Mary Boyd.  “These individuals, and their public safety colleagues throughout America, dedicate their lives to aiding those in need. Hundreds of millions of 9-1-1 callers every year rely on the dedication and cooperation of our public safety professionals, government leaders and industry partners when a crisis demands calling 9-1-1.  The 9-1-1 Honor Award winners are truly the best of the best and the reason our nation’s 9-1-1 system is the gold standard for emergency response today.  The Institute also recognizes that these awardees and their colleagues have our nation's 9-1-1 system poised to continue to advance and develop into the Next Generation 9-1-1 system. ”
