NPSTC Opens Nominations for Annual Public Safety Awards

NPSTC relies on hard-working volunteers to accomplish our important work on behalf of public safety telecommunications. We want to recognize the hard work and commitment you provide while working full-time jobs. Please submit the names of those who should be recognized. You do not have to be a member of NPSTC to nominate someone or to be nominated.
Richard DeMello Award: Beginning in 2005, NPSTC has presented an annual award to one public safety communications person who has demonstrated the highest levels of personal and professional conduct and performance in the local, state, and national public safety communications arena. This award will be announced at NPSTC's spring meeting, and presented at the Radio Club of America's Award Banquet in November. DeMello Award Nomination Form.
Our past DeMello Winners:
Chairman's Award: NPSTC presents one annual Chairman's Award to one individual in public safety communications who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership. The award is given at the discretion of the NPSTC Chair and presented at the spring meeting each year. The award will include an announcement, award, and letter to the individual's employer detailing the dedication and sacrifice the volunteer exhibited in assisting the public safety community. Atkinson Technical Award: The Governing Board may present the Atkinson Technical Award certificate(s) of recognition to individuals and/or organizations that have demonstrated exceptional technical support towards NPSTC and the public safety communications community, either at the Committee or Working Group levels. Some accomplishments will include, but are not limited to, completing a deliverable or fulfilling a long-term commitment. Atkinson Technical Award Nomination Form.
Leadership Award: The Governing Board may present certificates of recognition to individuals and/or organizations that have demonstrated exceptional personal and professional conduct in leadership, either at the Committee or Working Group levels. Some accomplishments will include, but not be limited to, completing a deliverable or fulfilling a long-term commitment. Leadership Award Nomination Form.
Participants Award: The Governing Board may present certificates of recognition to individuals and/or organizations that have supported NPSTC and the public safety community on critical objectives, such as achieving interoperability, as needed. These awards will include a certificate of recognition and a letter to the individual's employer. Participants Award Nomination Form.
