National 911 Program Presents Free "State Of 9-1-1" Webinar Event December 15
Discussions include an update from the FCC and information on Utah’s Statewide MIS Project
This webinar will feature a presentation by the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Mr. Tim May, Policy and Licensing Division, of the FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau will share an update on the 911 activities of the commission. In addition, Mr. May will share information from the December meeting of the FCC’s Task Force on Optimal Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Architecture (TFOPA).
Also presenting and available for questions is Mr. Eric Parry from the Utah Communications Authority, 9-1-1 Division. Mr. Parry will share the benefits and considerations of:
- Management Information Systems (MIS) from a statewide perspective
- How their vendor solution (ECaTS) is currently being used in the state of Utah
- Cooperation and collaboration with other State agencies

About the State of 911 Forum
Designed to bring together information about Federal 9-1-1 activities as well as resources and NG911 “early adopter” case studies, the series provides a unique combination of useful tools, expert advice about Federal and State participation in the NG911 process and real stories about the NG911 transition process underway in regions around the country.
