Next Generation Model Provides Marketplace with 15” Notebook to Run Legacy Software Programs

GammaTech has released the newest member of its Durabook line of rugged mobile computers - the semi-rugged S15H notebook.  Designed to fill a need for 15" monitors in the marketplace, the S15H provides a cost-effective solution that eliminates the need and expense of modifying how legacy systems display. It is tested to Military 810G standards, which ensures it's drop, shock and spill resistant. Other rugged features include an exclusive optical disk-tray lock, double-protection smart battery circuitry and smart battery calibration.

The S15H comes with the Intel Haswell CPU, so users can expect faster computing and graphics, and longer battery life in a sleek form factor. It features a 15.6” full high-definition LED display and two dual-channel DDR III SODIMM slots that provide up to 16GB of memory capacity. With inclusion of nVidia Optimus technology and Intel integrated graphics controller, it provides terrific high-res graphics. To provide flexibility, the S15H is built with a USB 3.0 connector, integrated 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet and wireless LAN network connection. Security is of paramount importance and the S15H includes multiple security features such as TPM 1.2 technology, a Kensington Lock connector and administrator password/Boot password.

The S15H notebook can be used virtually anywhere thanks to wireless communications such as integrated 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, an Intel Mini-Express wireless LAN network connection, and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. A WWAN 3G module is also available. The SIM card is secured behind a security-screwed door.

All of this makes the S15H an ideal solution for applications in the public safety, military, utility and other field service industries.
