Companies combine leading police eCommerce platform and Records Management System for end-to-end accident report capture, analysis, and dissemination

LexisNexis® Risk Solutions has announced that it is integrating its LexisNexis® Police Reports eCommerce portal with the SunGard®Public Sector ONESolution Records Management System (RMS) to deliver law enforcement agencies an end-to-end system for capturing, analyzing and disseminating accident reports online. The integrated capability enables agencies to seamlessly export and upload crash reports from the SunGard RMS to the LexisNexis Police Reports portal for electronic access by citizens and commercial entities, such as insurance agencies and law firms.

“LexisNexis Police Reports, part of the Coplogic™ Solutions suite, provides law enforcement agencies with resources that are critical to driving down costs, enhancing efficiencies and increasing revenue,” said Roy Marler, Vice President, LexisNexisRisk Solutions. “This partnership allows law enforcement agencies to make better use of the resources at their disposal, enhancing their ability to focus on critical efforts in the communities they serve.”

LexisNexis Police Reports eliminates the need for manual handling of crash reports, saving time and reducing administrative costs. The SunGard RMS allows law enforcement agencies to collect, store and access critical information gathered during the course of an incident, empowering agencies to efficiently store and share these records. The SunGard RMS is now integrated with LexisNexis Police Reports to create a combined online platform for crash report access and retrieval.

Key features of this integration include:

  • Reduced overhead to agencies for fulfilling crash report requests
  • Online access availability 24/7
  • Increased efficiencies by automating the crash report process
  • Enhanced security of the reports with 128-bit SSL encryption to protect against unauthorized access
  • Optimized data sharing capabilities through federated searches, providing an additional investigative tool

“Interoperability with LexisNexis Police Reports empowers law enforcement agencies to save money while better engaging with the communities they serve to improve public safety,” said Kevin Lafeber, Vice President and General Manager, SunGardPublic Sector. “This is the type of strategic engagement we are always searching for in order to enhance the delivery of our RMS capabilities and help drive internal efficiencies for our law enforcement customers.”
