First-Responder Communications Provider Launches Innovative New Product Platform with One-of-a-Kind Features

Outerlink Global Solutions, the leading satellite tracking and first-responder communications provider for mixed air and ground fleets, today announced the launch of Communiqué HUB, providing the first of its kind, multi-modal, data communications and processing platform for aviation and ground fleets. This new platform will offer one-of-a-kind features such as Push-to-Talk, text messaging and M2M Services.

Outerlink’s Push-to-Talk solution, available for use with the Communiqué HUB, is the first and only system of its kind for aviation. “This feature delivers full database back up of all conversations, including time stamps and geo locations. It is truly unique,” said Steve Durante, CEO of Outerlink.

“The underlying technology behind our Push-to-Talk system has been in production for other Outerlink products for several years,” said Rod Danielson, CTO of Outerlink. “That technology is now enhanced for IP based communications with support for half-duplex voice as well as backward compatibility for all of Outerlink’s existing voice panels.”

This innovation marks the first of several major technological advancements that Outerlink will launch this year, including a true multi-tiered satellite communications redundancy device, Communiqué HUB. With technology capable of delivering numerous connections and running on the latest Microsoft operating system, Windows 8, this next generation platform will be the first of its kind available in rotorcraft based platforms. It will offer access to third-party developers, which will grant fleet dispatch centers access to advanced mobile data communications and processing.

“Communiqué HUB is a powerful aviation grade computer with all the interfaces dispatch centers need for heightened command and control in mixed air and ground fleets,” said Carl Williams, VP of Engineering for Outerlink. “Communiqué HUB, in turn, provides a unique and adaptable solution to the consumer over an extended period of time.”
