DTMF Equipped Interoperatibility Repeater Controller

Product Profile

Repeater Interoperability Controller

Share |

Midianís RIC-8Midian’s RIC-8 is a tone remote adaptor and encoder that allows up to eight RIC-8 equipped repeaters connected by leased line or microwave to interoperate. A DTMF equipped tone remote controller/console or field radio can send DTMF commands to establish links between repeaters or to all units for simulcast operation. DTMF can then be used to disable the link.

When a repeater is enabled and traffic is present, the repeater gives the RIC-8 a COR indication to cause the RIC-8 to generate the 2175 Hz keying tone to the other repeaters.

Only enabled RIC-8 equipped repeaters will retransmit the traffic from the other repeater.
