San Jose Fire Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of
Senior Public Safety Dispatcher
San Jose Fire Communications is a secondary PSAP serving
1 million residents spread over 180 square miles in the City of San Jose, California.
Our Senior PSDs serve as the first-line supervisors for Fire Communications
and have the opportunity to serve in administrative roles such as:
Training, Systems Support, and Quality Assurance.
We are an Accredited Center of Excellence in Emergency Medical Dispatching offering
a Senior PSD salary range of $83,345 - $101,420
(with an additional 3% COLA scheduled for June 2017)
A 4/10 or 9/80 work schedule*
Partial- or full-weekends off*

Minimum qualifications include:
- a High School diploma or G.E.D.
- 3 years experience equivalent to Public Safety Radio Dispatcher
